The breaker plate and the advance unit are completely replaced by a printed cicuit board with Hall sensors. Two microprozessors are computing the advance timing and the dwell angle optimally so that the ignition coils are spared and the energy consumption of the ignition is dropped to a minimum. The adjustment happens only by rotating themagnet disk on the driver sleeve. A small LED on the PCB indicates the correct position.
If the old ignition coils should also be replaced it is possible to take the smaller single channel box in connection with a new twin output ignition coil.
