The electronic ignition replaces the breaker pointsand offers an additional advance timing which provides for a careful and even engine run. The original ignition system has no advance adjustment and had to get by with a fixed spark advance value of 40 °.

The original ignition coil can be used further. 9 ignition curves are available, selectable by a rotary switch at the box.
