By the overhanging front shield of the California III the distance between alternator cover and shield is to small to fit a pickup PCB (printed circuit board) onto the alternator, because the cover must be set approx. 10mm on distance. For the Cali III therefore I offer the distributor solution: A sensor plate now replaces the breaker plate and the centrifugal governor or the Motoplat pickup.
With the distributor version the contact breaker plate and all parts of the centrifugal governor is replaced by a driver and the printed circuit board.
The modification of the Motoplat version is nearly identical, the only difference is that the trigger rotor will be replaced by a magnet disk.

Motoplat replacement
The adjustment happens by turning the disk. The correct position is indicated by a LED on the PCB.
