The original condition of the GSX750R is a CDI ignition system. Replacement is more expensive and rare, so it makes sense also to equip them with a digital ignition system. This offers the possibility of using different advance curves, achieving better performance characteristics.
For the assembly all CDI-components are removed and replaced by the ZDG3-system. The adjustment occurs simply by rotating the magnetic disk and the correct position is indicated by an LED on the PCB.
