The digital ignition ZDG3.1 completely replaces the contact breaker ignition. Contact breaker and advance unit are replaced by a magnetic ring and a Hall sensor. The ignition box with the controller is very small (approximately match box size) and can therefore very well be hidden, even in the lamp.
The adjustment is done by rotating the magnetic disk at TDC of the pistons and a LED on the board shows the correct position. Further adjustments are not necessary.
The original twin coil can be used.
There are three available ignition curves and a rev limiter is integrated. Also prevents a 'Kick Start Help' widely a kick-back at starting, because the first 5 revolutions after engine shutdown are without advance timing.
Furthermore, an electronic alternator regulator for this model is available.
