With the Honda CB750 the entire contact breaker plate is replaced by the Pickup PCB. The advance unit is disassembled, i.e. cam and springs are removed and the remaining part is put on again.
The fitting of the pickup PCB takes place
on the original fastening spots of the original
contact breaker plate, the magnet disk is fastened
on the remainig part of the advance unit.
Thereby it can be adjusted easily. As an additional
adjustment help a LED near each light barrier indicates
the right position, further adjustments are not
necessary.
Each pair of cylinders has its own independent ignition,
i.e. two microcontrollers for two cylinder pairs,
therefore also two light barriers. The advantage
is separately exactly computed
for each pair of cylinders.
